Our Debt Is More Than All the Money in the World
The optimistic view is that our outstanding obligations amount to more than all of the money in the world.
I hate linking things like this, but it's important. I hate reading things like this, but it's important. We need to understand how much of what we'll produce in the next decade we've already consumed. And we need to address it.
And we cannot seem to take even baby steps to address the issue without people freaking out about "starving the children" or "putting the elderly out in the street..."
