Fan Handbook in the news

The Red Sox Fan Handbook (Everything you need to be a Red Sox fan … or to marry one) has gotten a little press this week. Mike Sullivan, in a Portsmouth Herald story on new Red Sox books gave it a favorable mention.

The general premise of this one is self-explanatory. It’s a look back at all obscure things Red Sox, things even many die-hards may not know.

It is also the third edition of the book, so if it sounds like a familiar title, it is. It was updated for 2005.

How updated could it be, you might ask? Matt Clement made his first start last Tuesday since coming to the Red Sox this winter and he’s already in the book.

The book touches upon many characters in Red Sox history from the unpredictable Gene Conley to the man who occupies the last name in the alphabetical list of every Boston Red Sox player in history, Bob Zupcic.

Try it again for the first time.
