"You can trust me - I'm part of the media...

Did you ever notice that the more often you see the media cover something you know, the more often you see that they're wrong? The only reason anyone would ever trust the media is if they've never covered a story about which he had first-hand knowledge. The latest example comes from Jeff Horrigan's Red Sox game story in the Herald.
Yesterday, Miller's continued first-inning difficulties allowed the Baltimore Orioles to jump out to an early lead that they wouldn't relinquish en route to a 9-1 drubbing of the Sox.

The lead that they "jumped out" to was 1-0. After 2 1/2 innings, the score was 1-1.

Hmmm... Looks like they relinquished it...
